Thaa Atoll, geographically known as Kolhumadulu Atholhu is an administrative division of the Maldives, with the Dhivehi Letter Code of identification: Th. During the Era of the first king of Maldives: Koimala, Kolhumadulu used to be known as Kolhumaduva. Consisting of 66 coral islands, merely 13 are inhabited by the local citizens of the island nation, with the Capital being Veymandoo Island. Thaa Atoll has its own domestic airport as well, set on Thimarafushi Island and is known as Thimarafushi Airport. Currently, there is only one tourist resort operating in Kolhumadulu: Maalifushi by COMO.

Although Thaa Atoll is not too developed in the Tourism Sector, there are a number of unspoiled and undisturbed dive sites that scuba divers will take delight in exploring. For instance: Olhugiri Kandu is an excellent spot to dive where white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleon wrasse, tuna, and jacks can be seen; At Gorgonian Garden divers will encounter manta rays and ghost pipefish during the night, whilst Beauty & the Beast is ideal for drift diving. Furthermore, divers can discover; Blue Giri, Brands Hatch, Digufaru Kandu, Eagle Ray Garden, Plateau, Ted’s Turtle Reef, Veymandoo Kandu, and plenty more dive sites in Thaa Atoll on a Live aboard.
